Greetings.   With the passage of time many of us have lost touch with those with whom we used to work at Digital, hence DEC Connection.  But, unless I'm missing it (which is entirely possible!) I don't see any discussion or topic herein whereby those of us still selling in high tech markets can network with former colleagues with an eye toward developing mutually beneficial business contacts and relationships.

I have found a PERSONAL networking topic but nothing related to networking to establish (or re-establish) business contacts that would be beneficial in our current professional situations.  Is such not allowed hereon?  If so, that's fine; but it just seems that many would benefit from a source for making contacts with former colleagues still in the high tech arena.  Such would be great for both the personal satisfaction of such renewal and for business development that would be relevant to our lives (and livelihoods) today.

Perhaps many of my former colleagues left Digital so well off that such was never contemplated or necessary.  I wasn't that fortunate so am still "plowing the fields" and hoping to establish contacts in markets germane to my present situation.  I'm selling for a firm in Seabrook, N.H. called TMI Global.  TMI is a leading independent stocking distributor of quality electronic components, peripherals and finished goods.

If this does nothing beyond generate some feedback from old friends then it will represent time well spent on my part.  But, if there are folks out there buying and / or selling in the high tech world perhaps we can, once again, help each other out.

All the best.

Paul, what you have done is exactly what is intended in this topic.  I will add a Business Networking topic to this list to make it more clear that we encourage this, and in fact, it's a primary goal for this discussion board.

Thank you for your post and I apologize for the delay in my response.
