We are very pleased to hear from our new member, Mr. Gen Narui, that the Digital Japan Alumni Group, DEC-J, is still active.
Mr. Gen
Narui reports that, due to COVID, we did not have an annual event for a
while. However, we had an event in the last year and around 70
people attended. Prior to COVID, DEC-Japan alumni organization had an annual event on May 25, 2018 from 18:30 at Hyatt Regency in Tokyo, with 100 participants. DECcies
have good reason to be proud of our alumni! Here are two
long-term DEC-Japan managers who have made a definite impact on our world:
Organizer:
Since 2018, the manager of DEC-J Alumni Club is Mr. Akihiko
Omikawa. He is currently the Executive VP of Trend Micro in Japan.
Founder of DEC-J Alumni was Mr. Gen Narui.
He is the chairman and founder of LPI-Japan, an open technologies
certification organization, and is involved with the Global Peacebuilding
Association of Japan.
