Maynard's 150th Birthday Celebration
- Founder's Day, Sept. 19, 2021 - Members tour the
Mill, everyone can march in parade with DEC
Connection in the afternoon (wearing your favorite DEC logo clothes
if you still have some - if not go to
www.decswag.com), followed by Maynard ceremonies, displays and events, and a private DEC
Connection early
dinner with fascinating guest speaker Ray Humphrey (VP Corp. Security and
part-time James Bond) at the Maynard Elks Club. Digital Memorabilia will be
available to members by lottery.

Summer BBQ Picnic at Barrie Hunter's home in Marlboro
Saturday afternoon, Aug 18th - 3 to 8 PM
The picnic was our big survey winner, so here it is!
We'd like to thank Barrie and Anne Hunter for hosting another of
their popular lake picnics on August 18th. Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, etc. were cooked on the grill in the
backyard by master chef Jack Mileski.
Barrie and Anne's back yard has a lovely pond which we didn't
get to enjoy due to the slightly inclement weather, but it still provided a
lovely backdrop.

EARLY SUMMER EVENT
June 4, 2017: The Scottish Music Concert at 2 PM at the Wayside Inn
in Sudbury (72 Wayside Inn Rd, Sudbury, MA) will be followed by a
potluck supper at the home of one of our Board members who lives
nearby. The orchestra members will be in attendance and are
co-sponsoring the supper with DEC Connection.

BUSINESS & OFFICE INFORMATION SYSTEMS (BOIS) REUNION - March
19,
2014, N. Chelmsford MA.
Our reunion for folks who worked in and closely with BOIS
(Business & Office Information Systems, located at TTB in Nashua, the
group that marketed ALL-IN-1 and other fine products), was terrific!
Over 30 attended and enjoyed the conversation and camraderie.

Saturday, October 19, 2013: Luncheon at the Sudbury Senior Center with
showing of Digital_Man/Digital_World |

On
October 19, 2013, from 2-5 PM, 35 DECconnection members and friends gathered
at the Sudbury Senior Center in Sudbury, MA for a wonderful afternoon. The
DVD entitled Digital_Man/Digital_World was shown, after which
refreshments and visiting was enjoyed by all. It was wonderful to have so
many folks gather and to continually be dedicated to "the Digital culture".
Many stories about personal experiences were shared. Digital Equipment
Corporation continues to live on through our retirees.
Each
attendee was given a glass mug that was part of the Gordon College
festivities when the Ken Olsen Art and Science Building was opened for use.
There were many left over from that event and Dan Tymann gave several to me
for distribution among our DEC retirees.
